Hyatt Regency Schaumburg, Chicago Concludes Phase One of Multimillion Dollar Renovation
The hotel’s fresh renovation features remodeled lobby, restaurant and marketplace

Hyatt Regency Schaumburg, Chicago has concluded the first phase of a $15 million renovation and now features a redesigned lobby, meetings and event space, signature restaurant, marketplace and bar. The second phase of the renovation includes a full refresh to all 468 guestrooms and is slated to conclude in 2018. The hotel’s renovation is being led by VOA/Stantec, a Chicago-based architecture and planning firm. 

Hyatt Regency Schaumburg, Chicago guests now enjoy a streamlined arrival experience featuring a modernized lobby with ample seating and communal spaces, new hotel restaurant, bar and marketplace. Subtle gray tones, black granite and white vein countertops, and a satin finish give the lobby a more sleek, contemporary feel. The lobby’s new design also features unique elements, including a floating cube positioned in the middle of the atrium ceiling that is anchored by a large communal table for guests to enjoy cocktails, food or to relax after travel.

The redesigned restaurant features Chicago-style cuisine with seasonally inspired specialties crafted from fresh, local ingredients. The restaurant now opens up to the lobby space and features walnut hardwood floors and chalkboard-painted walls to allow for seasonal art designs. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily for hotel guests and locals to enjoy. 

The Marketplace and Bar also have a fresh look  awith a clean, white and gray design and marble accents. The Marketplace and Bar nd offers a convenient experience for guests on the go, with sandwiches and salads, in addition to Starbucks Coffee and hot, ready breakfast items. 

The hotel’s beautifully remodeled meeting and event space sets the perfect backdrop for meetings, weddings or any special occasion. The Mahogany Ballroom, highlighting 12 stunning new chandeliers, features 8,450 square feet of flexible event space. The space features the latest audiovisual equipment, state-of-the-art technology and Wi-Fi.

Slated for completion in 2018, the hotel’s refreshed guestrooms will feature a stylish décor, enhanced lighting and luxurious accents. The rooms will feature new amenities including refrigerators, free Wi-Fi, new seating and a coffeemaker. The bathrooms will feature lush rain showers with natural stone countertops.
