2009 Dallas Hotel Conference: DFW Real Estate Investment Leaders Headline Industry Event

DALLAS, TEXAS – OCTOBER 10, 2009 – Hospitality leaders from across the country will meet at the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas on Nov. 5 for the 2009 Dallas Hotel Conference. For the fourth time in five years, the regional event will bring together owners, operators and investors from the greater Dallas lodging/real estate market to discuss development, operations, finance and legal challenges currently facing the industry.

Presented by Aimbridge Hospitality, Alvarez & Marsal Real Estate Advisory Services and Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP, the half-day conference will feature industry outlook presentations and open-format panel discussions to identify innovative ways to drive new business to the market and leverage existing relationships.

“With more than 180 registrations to date and a capped audience at 200, we anticipate the 2009 Dallas Hotel Conference will be a standing room-only success,” said Dave Johnson, Aimbridge Hospitality President and CEO. “This comprehensive, regional event delivers immediate value to attendees by bringing together industry veterans who know the local, national and global industry backwards and forwards, and who can provide hotel owners/operators with insight into the strength of the industry to rebound and recover.”

The 2009 Dallas Hotel Conference has been designed as a way to not only inform industry colleagues of new trends, economic outlooks and development savvy, but also provide business insight into what is next for hotels and the industry overall.

“The hospitality industry has experienced significant setbacks over the past year due to the down global economy,” says Cliff Risman, partner and leader of the Hospitality Industry Team at Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP. “This conference will bring together a group of leaders with unique perspectives of what the actual impact has been for properties across the U.S. and around the world and where we go from here.”

The two-part program offers local/regional/national market updates and two hospitality industry leader panels discussing “Operating, Developing and Financing Hotels in the Current Economic Climate.” Panel participants include: Monty Bennett, CEO, Remington Hotel Corp.; Marty Collins, President and CEO, Gatehouse Capital; Tom Corcoran, Chairman, and Rick Smith, CEO, Felcor Lodging Trust; Mike Deitemeyer, President, Omni Hotels; Jonathan Falik, CEO and Managing Director, JF Capital Advisors, LLC; Dan Lesser, Senior Managing Director, Valuation & Advisory, CB Richard Ellis; Randy McCaslin, Vice President, PKF Consulting; Mike Mueller, President, NYLO Hotels LLC; and John Scott, President and CEO, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.

“We are very pleased that the 2009 Dallas Hotel Conference is in such high demand,” said Chuck Bedsole, Managing Director of Alvarez & Marsal. “Hoteliers and investors are very interested in learning how to combat the struggles we as an industry are facing today and how to prepare for the positives that hopefully are just around the corner. By working together from a local perspective, and equipping Dallas’ best and brightest professionals with highly coveted information normally presented at larger national industry conventions, they will be better prepared to weather this economic storm and steer a stable course towards recovery.”
